Rapid, reliable, and economical processing of vehicles is essential when collecting toll charges at bridges, tunnels and on roads. Toll series barriers from Online River have been specially designed for this situation. The innovative drive at the heart of the barriers is characterized by its speed, lack of maintenance and energy efficiency, thus keeping long-term costs down.

The Toll barriers can be adapted to meet individual requirements: there are five models with opening times of from 1.3–0.3 s, which can be equipped with a variety of control devices, flanges and barrier arms.

All barrier packages are provided with a swing-away flange as standard. In the case of a collision with a vehicle, the barrier arm is released and can be manually re-engaged afterwards. This protects the barrier arms, vehicle, and drive unit. There is also the optional auto-re-turn-swing-away flange for the foam barrier arms, which auto-matically re-engages after a collision with a vehicle.

The modularly designed housing made of extruded aluminum profiles and a base frame made of stainless steel (both powder-coated) offers best protection against corrosion. 

The control unit is located directly underneath the top cover and can be accessed from all sides. Configuring the barrier is easily accomplished via the LCD’s intuitive user interface that can be navigated with just 4 pushbuttons.

The drive unit is not only astonishing because of its small dimensions. You also get a high torque with an extremely minimized power consumption. The high torque guarantees best operation even under severe weather conditions (heavy winds, snow, etc.). The motor, motor control and gearing are all combined in one compact drive unit.
