Straight Line Access - Two Revolving Doors

When an entry requires sophistication to channel the flow of visitors in high numbers at peak times, or those accompanied by carts, trollies or hospital beds, the Duotour two wing automatic revolving door is the optimal solution. Unlike a three or four wing revolving door, the Duotour can channel a high capacity of footfall while having a fairly small footprint.

The Duotour combines the best of both worlds by incorporating two automatic sliding or swinging doors in its design. At peak times or in order to allow passage to trollies or beds, the function of the Duotour can be switched from the automatic revolving door setting to automatic sliding or swinging doors ensuring maximum capacity and ease of movement.

The Duotour is available in a wide variety of colours and finishes and like the Tournex offers the option of including showcases on the door wings. Located on both ends of the door wings, these showcases can be used to bring the visitor into the mood and setting of your building. 

Two door wings, optional showcases on each end and either a set of sliding or swinging doors in the centre of the door set; the Duotour is one of the most versatile revolving doors available. It has two spacious compartments, automatic operations and is suitable to use in healthcare facilities or shopping centres.

Unhindered Passage

The sliding or swinging doors in the centre of the door set can be opened to allow access to large trollies, beds or emergency personnel. Unlike other revolving doors the Duotour does not have a centre column. This ensures that a completely unhindered passage can be created.

Emergency Egress

Building standards introduced in 2013 decree that in order for a door to be suitable as an emergency escape route, it must offer the possibility to be opened to create a barrier free exit at all times. As the shape and the rotating motion of the Duotour prevent this from being possible, it is not suitable as an official emergency escape route. Because of the sliding or swinging doors in the centre of the door set, it is however very suitable as a supporting emergency egress option. (Escape route requirements are subject to local regulations).
