Motorized Gate, Single Direction, Waist High
Product Description
This motorized, microprocessor-controlled, pedestrian gate, has a slim, stylish, contemporary design and provides single direction entry or exit control.
Push button or key switches can be used for activation by attendants or store personnel.
It is an ideal device to provide a primary entry point to facilities such as retail and grocery stores, health clubs, hospitals, and numerous other indoor pedestrian entry points providing limited access and crowd control.
It has a powerful brushless DC motor that opens and closes the gate smoothly. As patrons or carts approach the gate, a motion detector detects the movement and the gate opens. If additional motion is detected while the gate is open, the gate remains open. If motion is detected while the gate is in the closing cycle, the gate will reopen.
This gate also has several safety features. The rear of the gate contains a "presence sensor" to prevent the gate from hitting a person and/or object. If a person or object is in the gate’s opening path, the gate will not open. If the gate arm encounters a person or object during movement, the impact is sensed and the gate will stop moving. If power is removed from the gate, the gate arm can be manually opened with 2lbs. of force. The gate comes fail-safe, and an input is also provided to integrate the gate with fire alarm systems.
The gate has programmable features that are factory set at appropriate levels for most applications, though some features (such as barrier resistance and dwell time) can be customized by the user.
A single motorized gate provides a 36" opening width, or it can be installed as a tandem unit to create a 72" opening width.
It comes with a standard chrome finish; however, custom plated and powder coated finishes can be provided.
If a gate used for one way passage is pushed or pulled open in the opposite direction, the gate can be programmed to sound an alarm and, if desired, output a dry contact for remote notification or activation of other devices.
